In this blog post, I discussed NEAT and the fact that movement throughout the day does matter when it comes to your fitness and calorie expenditure. Activities that are performed in NEAT exercises are such things as walking, cooking, singing, dusting, playing with children or animals. Some of these movements may not appear very effective, but when incorporated can impact ones weight loss goals, heart health, and state of mind greatly. Incorporating more NEAT into your day would allow you to become more active and get many of the benefits of exercise without feeling as if you actually are exercising.
